Christopher Williams, born Troy Christopher Williams on August 22, 1967, in The Bronx, New York, is an American R&B singer and actor. He emerged in the late 1980s as a recording artist for Geffen Records, achieving success with hit singles such as "Promises, Promises" (1989), "Talk to Myself" (1989), and "Every Little Thing U Do" (1993). His song "I'm Dreamin'" (1991) from the New Jack City soundtrack reached #1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. After a six-year hiatus, he returned to music with the album Real Men Do in 2001, released on the indie label Renegade, which received positive reviews in Ebony Magazine. Despite rumors of his death in 2005 being an Internet hoax, Williams continued to contribute to various projects, including smooth jazz versions of songs and collaborations with other artists. His extensive body of work includes contributions to soundtracks such as "Tha 2 of Us," "Superhero," and "Stranger In My Life," among others.
