Chromeo is a musical duo consisting of David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel, who have been best friends and collaborators since childhood. Before forming the band, they produced beats for notable Québec hip-hop artists. In the summer of 2000, a fan of their work approached Dave about starting an electronic music project on Turbo. By 2001, they were signed by a label after putting together a demo. With Chromeo, listeners can expect a blend of analog synths, rock guitars, 808s, Rhodes, and talk box elements.
