Chronomad, whose real name is Saam Schlamminger, was born in 1966 in Istanbul. He lived in Iran until the age of 12, after which he made Munich his main residence. Saam has studied eastern rhythmics through visits to various musicians and teachers in Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Iran, New York, and Paris. He specializes in the Persian Zarb and Daf, which he electrifies. Saam has performed worldwide with artists from diverse styles, including Susan Deyhim and the Notwist. Additionally, he has served as a consultant and director for several documentaries abroad, covering locations such as Iran, Benin, Kurdistan, France, and Central Asia.
