Chuck Bowers was born in Arkansas in 1921 and passed away on August 25, 1987. He was a regular performer on the Ozark Jubilee in Springfield, Missouri, and had a spot on KWTO. Bowers gained acclaim for his shuffler "Pig Pen Boogie," which was released on the Kansas City label and is part of a series he recorded for radio and TV appearances. Throughout his career, he recorded three songs with "Boogie" in the title. Later, Bowers recorded two Nashville-produced pop rockers for Decca.
