Circus 2000 was an Italian psychedelic and progressive rock group formed in the Turin beat scene around 1969. The band featured the unique female vocalist Silvana Aliotta and was known for their distinctive sound that blended psychedelia with experimental space-rock. They released two LPs, both featuring English vocals, along with several singles, some of which were sung in Italian. The lineup during 1970-71 included Silvana Aliotta on vocals and percussion, Marcello "Spooky" Quartarone on guitar and vocals, Gianni Bianco on bass, and Roberto “Johnny” Betti on drums. In 1972, Roberto Betti was replaced by Franco "Dede" Loprevite, who took over on drums and vocals. After the band disbanded, Silvana Aliotta pursued a solo career, Franco Lo Previte joined Duello Madre, and "Spooky" Quartarone later collaborated with Johnny Betti in Living Life.
