Clarence Garlow was a blues and rhythm and blues singer and guitarist, born on February 27, 1911, in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana, USA. He passed away on July 24, 1986, in Beaumont, Texas, USA. Garlow made recordings between 1949 and around 1958, achieving a hit with "Bon Ton Roula" in 1950. He often worked as a studio musician in Crowley, Louisiana. Although he stepped away from music in the late 1950s, he re-emerged at the 1984 San Francisco Blues Festival and made a few more festival appearances before his death.
