Clark Terry was an American jazz trumpeter, flugelhornist, vocalist, composer, and bandleader, born on December 14, 1920, in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away on February 21, 2015, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Throughout his career, he worked with numerous notable musicians and was a major influence on many artists. He collaborated with luminaries and was recognized for his innovative techniques, including the use of circular breathing for extended solos and playing ambidextrously with both horns. In 2010, he was awarded a lifetime achievement Grammy.
