Claudia Brücken (born 7 December 1963 in Berching, Bavaria) is a German singer and songwriter, renowned for her role as the frontwoman of synth-pop bands. She began her musical journey at the age of 14 with her first band, Haarsträubend, and later joined an all-girl group for two years. In 1982, she was invited to join a nascent pre-ZTT band formed by former Die Krupps synthesist Ralf Dörper, which included members who would later be part of Topolinos. Brücken's band, Propaganda, relocated from Düsseldorf to London after their demo caught the attention of Zang Tumb Tuum. The group released three singles, an album, and a remix collection during their time on ZTT from 1984 to 1985 before parting ways. Claudia married a ZTT A&R representative and released "When Your Heart Runs Out Of Time," a duet with another artist. However, tensions within the group and with ZTT led to a split. In 1986, Claudia formed a new band with another musician, resulting in the album "Laughter, Tears And Rage," from which three singles were released. Although she announced plans for a solo album titled "Prima Donna" on ZTT, it was never released, and little is known about the project.
