Claudine Longet is a French actress and singer born in Paris on January 29, 1942. She began her career as a dancer with Les Folies Bergères in Las Vegas, where she met Andy Williams. Longet appeared in several of Andy's TV shows and landed notable acting roles, including in Blake Edwards' classic film The Party, alongside Peter Sellers, where she performed the song "Nothing To Lose," written by an undisclosed songwriter. Throughout her career, she recorded five albums of loungey cover versions for an undisclosed label and an additional two on Andy Williams' own label. In March 1976, she made headlines when she shot and killed her then-boyfriend, ski champion Vladimir Sabich, in Aspen, Colorado. Claiming it was an accident that occurred while he was teaching her to shoot, she was sentenced to 30 days in jail and later married the lawyer who defended her during the trial.
