Clay Hammond was an R&B singer and songwriter born on June 21, 1936, in Groesbeck, Texas. He passed away on February 4, 2011, in Fontana, San Bernardino, California. Hammond began his music career as a member of The Mighty Clouds Of Joy in the late 1950s and later pursued a solo career, becoming well-known for his song "Part Time Love." He also collaborated with his brother Walter as The Hammond Brothers and joined The Rivingtons as lead singer in 1981.
