Cliff Martinez, born on February 5, 1954, in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Columbus, Ohio, is an American film score composer known for his collaborations with various directors. He is also a former drummer who played with notable bands such as Captain Beefheart, The Dickies, The Weirdos, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers from 1984 to 1986.
