Climaco Sarmiento was a Colombian composer, arranger, band leader, and musician known for his skills on the saxophone and clarinet. He was born in Soplaviento, Bolívar in 1916 and passed away on February 1st, 1986, in Cartagena. He is recognized for his contributions to music in Colombia.
