CNTRLVX (Backlight) is a new project by Gianclaudio H. Moniri, known for his work in Plaster, Kaeba, and Clouds After Rain, alongside Marco “uBiK” Bonini, recognized from Mamavegas, Acre, and uBiK. The duo combines their musical talents to create an EP that features a blend of thoughtful and dark tones, drawing inspiration from noir photography and films. Their dense tracks possess an analogue quality, flowing horizontally like soundtracks to nonexistent films. Guitars and synthesizers intertwine in endless sequences, where shadows find their place within the light, revealing the true borders of objects.
