Cock Sparrer is a band from the East End of London that was formed in 1972 originally under the name Cock Sparrow. They changed their name to Cock Sparrer in 1976. Initially, their sound was characterized as Pub Rock, but it evolved into what became known as Street Punk and later Oi! following the release of Gary Bushell's first Oi! sampler in 1980.
