Coco, Steel & Lovebomb is a British electronic group formed by Chris Mellor (Coco), Lene Stokes (Steel), and Craig Woodrow (Lovebomb). The group emerged from the techno community, blending elements of garage, soul, and disco with an ambient-techno foundation. Coco began his career as a DJ at the Zap club in Brighton, where his acid-house sets gained popularity following the late-1980s house explosion. Alongside Steel and Lovebomb, he established the group, which released their first headline single in 1991, followed by additional singles in the same year, and "Hold It" in 1992, and "Work It" in 1993. It took three years after their initial single for them to record their debut album, released in 1994. The group continued to evolve, releasing two ambient albums in 1997 and 1998, as well as a remix album in 1999. All of these works contributed to their distinctive sound and place in the electronic music scene.
