Coco Steel & Lovebomb is a British electronic group consisting of members Chris Mellor (Coco), Lene Stokes (Steel), and Craig Woodrow (Lovebomb). Emerging from the techno community, the group blends elements of garage, soul, and disco with an ambient-techno foundation. Coco, also known as Chris Mellor, gained popularity as a DJ at the Zap club in Brighton, where his acid-house sets thrived following the late-1980s house explosion. Together with Steel and Lovebomb, he formed the group. Their first headline single was released in 1991, followed by additional singles in the same year, as well as "Hold It" in 1992 and "Work It" in 1993. It took three years after their initial single to record their debut album, released in 1994. The group continued to explore ambient sounds with two albums released in 1997 and 1998, along with a remix album in 1999. All their works were released on an unspecified label.
