Colin Stetson is an American saxophone player born on March 3, 1975, in Ann Arbor, MI. He earned a music degree from the University of Michigan in 1997. After spending six years in San Francisco and four years in Brooklyn, NY, Stetson developed his unique solo voice on various instruments, including saxophones, clarinets, cornet, French horn, and flute. Stetson has toured with notable groups such as Arcade Fire, Bell Orchestre, and Bon Iver. He has also performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, including Tom Waits, TV on the Radio, Feist, My Brightest Diamond, Laurie Anderson, David Byrne, Sinéad O'Connor, LCD Soundsystem, The National, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Angelique Kidjo, Kevin Devine, Beanie Burnett, and Anthony Braxton. He currently resides in Montréal, Québec.
