Colomba Mazzoni is a French soprano born in Corsica, near Bastia. She is renowned for her "sunny" voice and exceptional timbre. Mazzoni gained fame for her interpretations of "Mimi" in "La Bohème" (1954) and "Musette" (1960), as well as "Cio-Cio-San" in "Madame Butterfly." Additionally, she is recognized as a sensitive and authentic performer of the often sad and melancholic folkloric songs from her homeland.
