**Bio: Conjunto Miramar** El Conjunto Miramar was a pioneering salsa group in Colombia, formed in 1963 before the genre was officially named. Their debut album, "Carruseles - The First of the Conjunto Miramar," featured popular tracks such as "Carruseles," "Reina De Cumbias," "Pregonando," "Chela," and "La Pestañita." In 1965, they released another album titled "Cumbias con el Miramar" through Discos Fuentes. The group consisted of several talented members: Darío Restrepo ('Guayaba') on piano, Rubén Darío Restrepo ('Mago') on guitar, Héctor Quintero on saxophone, xylophone, and vocals, Hugo Gil ('Chamizo') on drums and vocals, and Hernán Builes on bass, accordion, and as the director. By 1965, Conjunto Miramar disbanded and was succeeded by a new group called Sexteto Miramar, supported by the director of Discos Fuentes.
