Connie Smith is an American country-gospel singer, born on August 14, 1941, in Elkhart, Indiana. Throughout her life, she has been married four times. In the mid-1960s, she married her second husband, who was a guitarist in her touring band. On July 8, 1997, Smith married a country artist.
