Cool Creations Of St Maarten is a band formed in 1975 by Carlyle Barriteau, Funk Gumbs, and Winston Macco, who were all in their last year of high school in St Maarten. The band's name was inspired by Kool And The Gang, one of their off-island influences. They primarily performed at hotels, local dance clubs, and during carnival parades. In 1977, they recorded a self-titled LP.
