Coreysan is a Bristol-based, Trinidad-born musician and producer known for his unique blend of Electronic Caribbean Hybrid Music. His sound features driving electronic soundscapes, soulful bass work, and raspy, soothing vocals, all delivered through a storytelling lyrical style reminiscent of Calypso. This combination creates a rootsy, thought-provoking, bass-driven, and mysterious flavor in his music. Beginning his musical journey in 1987 in Trinidad, Coreysan performed as a session bassist in various popular and underground bands. Since his debut as Coreysan in 2004, he has self-released two full-length albums and two EPs. Currently residing in Bristol, he collaborates as a vocalist, songwriter, and session bassist with numerous local and UK-based groups and producers across diverse musical styles, enriching his solo project. Coreysan has also gained recognition as a touring musician, performing extensively around the world as the bassist and backing vocalist for Calypso Rose, the reigning Queen of Calypso Music. Over his 28-year career, he has worked with notable bands in Trinidad, including 3 Canal, Mungal Patasar, and Oddfellows Local, among others. He is a pioneer of the live electronic music scene in Trinidad, being the first to introduce a computer as an instrument on stage with his band Atheleny and later with his solo project.
