Harald Blüchel, known by his stage name Cosmic Baby, was born on February 19, 1963, in Nuremberg. A classically trained concert pianist, he began his musical journey at the Nuremberg Conservatory at the age of 7. Inspired by the sounds of Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk in 1980, he started composing pieces for synthesizer. In 1987, Cosmic Baby moved to Berlin to further his musical studies at the Art Academy, where he created experimental music using a Fairlight computer. He also studied sound engineering at the Technical University, gaining insight into the technical aspects of music production.
