Cottam is a UK-based DJ and producer who has been spinning records since the age of 14. His journey began by 'borrowing' his brother's 80s soul and early hip hop records, which led him to discover house music and become captivated by it. Throughout his teens, he experienced the evolution of clubbing in the north, transitioning from acid to rave to progressive sounds. Influenced by DJs like Dave Clarke, he developed a passion for harder techno and electro, a love that continues today, with inspirations from DJs like Surgeon and the black country crew incorporating dubstep into their sets. After years of enjoying music and experimenting with his own ideas, Cottam released his first house experiments in 2009, often reworking soul and hip hop tracks.
