Cou Cou Bazar emerged after the dissolution of Casino Shanghai in 1986, bringing together various members from the Mexican underground scene of Techno Pop and Post Punk. The band explored genres and styles such as Avant Garde, theater, improvisation, and Techno Pop. The lineup included Carlos Robledo (from Size, Decibel, and Casino Shanghai), Alquimia (from Alquimia), Lorenzo "El Pollo" Lagrava (from La Suciedad de las Sirvientas Puercas and Sangre Asteka), Carlos Alvarado (from Chaca Mol, Vía Láctea, and Tony Rayola), Samir Menaceri (from OD and Interface), Jesús González Martín (from The High Fidelity Orchestra and Tony Rayola), and Dean Stylette (from Size).
