Counterstrike is a prominent duo in the South African drum 'n bass scene, consisting of Justin Scholtemeyer (AKA Animal Chin) and Eaton Crous (AKA 500 Mills). Active since the mid-nineties, they have played extensively on the club and rave circuit around the world and have been producing music together since 1998. Their collaborative work is characterized by a shared passion for a specific sound, resulting in a cohesive musical identity that remains consistent whether they create tracks together or individually. They also manage their own labels.
