Courtney Pine is an English jazz musician, born on March 18, 1964, in London. He plays the tenor and soprano saxophone, as well as the bass clarinet. Recognized for his outstanding contribution to British music, he was awarded an OBE. Since the early 1980s, Pine has been a prominent figure in the jazz scene, known for his willingness to push the boundaries of the genre as a saxophonist, bandleader, and collaborator with other musicians.
