Crossbones was a Zambian rock band that emerged in the early 1970s and was active until around 1980. The band was led by a notable figure and released several singles throughout the late 1970s, along with an album in 1976. Crossbones featured an occasional female vocalist, who became Zambia's earliest female music star. The band's lineup changed when a new member joined, leading to a reboot of their musical style and a name change to New Crossbones. This new iteration eventually evolved into one of Zambia's most successful Kalindula bands.
