Cry Babies is a Jacareí-based dance-music group founded in 1959. The group was led by drummer Nelsinho Marreli, with other members including a bassist and musical director, known as Giba (the lead singer), and a percussionist. In the early years, another member was part of the group before pursuing a solo career. In the late 1960s, after a significant lineup change, the band released several funk-soul recordings. The group has continued its activities to the present day.
