Cumgirl8 is a multi-media collective and post-punk band based in Manhattan, New York, founded in 2019 by Chase Lombardo (also known as Chase Noelle), Lida Fox, and Veronika Vilim. They describe themselves as a "sex-positive alien amoeba entity" and create work across music, film, publishing, and fashion. Their music serves as an outlet for repressed and pent-up emotions, and their artistic practice opposes patriarchy and capitalism. The band began performing and releasing songs in the months leading up to the COVID-19 pandemic and, during quarantine, created The 1–900, a lo-fi, unfiltered talk show on YouTube that addresses sociopolitical issues with guests via webcam. In 2023, they signed with the independent label 4AD and released the EP phantasea pharm that August. Their debut studio album, The 8th Cumming, is set to release on October 4, 2024. Guitarist Avi Rodrigues has been part of the band since 2021, recording and touring with them. Their debut release was in 2020.
