Curt Cress is a German drummer, composer, producer, publisher, and music executive, born on August 11, 1952, in Schlierbach (Brachtal), Germany. He began his drumming career in 1965 and was involved with numerous Progressive Rock and Krautrock bands during the early 1970s. A prolific studio drummer, Cress has been awarded 15 times as Germany's drummer of the year by various music journals. In the late 1970s, he transitioned into producing for many well-known German artists and bands and contributed as a songwriter for several German TV shows, including "Wetten Dass..?" In 2006, he became a professor and also operates his own music production business in Pullach near Munich.
