Cuthead, whose real name is Robert Arnold, is a prominent figure in the music scene of Dresden, known for his wild parties and encounters with local authorities alongside his crew, Kunst:stoff Breakz. Initially a Hip Hop collective, the group shifted their focus when all the rappers were incarcerated, leading to a significant transformation in their music. Cuthead's evolution as a producer and MPC-wizard was notably influenced by his participation in the Red Bull Academy in Barcelona in 2008. His unique style combines "dirty samples and a good groove," though his sound has become more electronic and his beats straighter over time. He explores a variety of genres, including Wonky, Dub, Dubstep, Techno, House, and IDM/Electronica. This eclectic mix is showcased in his acclaimed download-only albums, 'Murdoc' and 'City Slicker.'
