Cybotron is a Detroit-based electro formation launched in 1981 by Richard Davis and John Housely. The duo released one album together, while the other two albums were solely by Davis. In 2019, Cybotron underwent a transformation; Juan Atkins was joined by Laurens von Oswald and fellow Detroiter Tameko Williams, also known as DJ Maaco. It is important to note that Cybotron should not be confused with an Australian group that also released electronic music.
