Cymbals was a Japanese rock band active from 1997 to 2003, consisting of vocalist Toki Asako, bassist/guitarist Okii Reiji, and drummer Yano Hiroyasu. The trio was influenced by the British pop-rock sounds of the 1960s, similar to other bands that emerged in the late 1990s, such as Clammbon and Hermann H. & the Pacemakers. Despite their solid songwriting and album production, Cymbals never achieved a true "hit," leading to their breakup in September 2003. They held a final farewell concert at Shibuya O-East on January 20, 2004. Following the band's disbandment, the members continued their musical careers, with Toki pursuing a solo career, Okii working as a producer, and Yano serving as a session drummer and producer.
