Da Rebels is a collaboration between Chicago legends Curtis Alan Jones and Liddell Townsell. Curtis Jones is best known for his later work under the names Cajmere and Green Velvet, while Liddell Townsell was instrumental in creating some of the first groundbreaking Acid House records for Trax and assisting other house pioneers like Tyree Cooper. Together, they produced remarkable records for the label Clubhouse. One of their notable tracks, "House Nation Under A Groove," from the D.I.U. E.P. on Clubhouse, was licensed by Ugly Music in 1997 and remixed by various artists from Ugly, including Harvey and Future Monument.
