Daevid Allen (January 13, 1938 – March 13, 2015) was an Australian poet, guitarist, singer, composer, and performance artist. Born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, he co-founded the psychedelic rock groups in the UK in 1966 and, with his former partner, in France in 1967. He was also the father of two children.
