Daiquirí is a Venezuelan musical group founded in 1983 in Caracas, known for fusing tropical music rhythms with 80s dance pop. The group was trained and led by a musician who had previously joined a fusion group of rock and Latin music, along with renowned brothers and Di Marzo. Many of Daiquirí's members were part of a group of Venezuelan musicians who traveled to Boston in the 70s to study at the Berklee College of Music, and they had established themselves as session musicians in the Venezuelan music scene. Several members also taught at the CeProMusic academy, which was conducted by a notable Venezuelan musician and composer.
