Damon Albarn is a British vocalist and musician, born on 23 March 1968 in Whitechapel, London. His family moved to Leytonstone, London shortly after his birth and then to Colchester, Essex. He is best known as a founding member and vocalist of a British band in the 1990s. In 1998, he formed a side-project with an old housemate and provided the singing vocals for the fictitious lead singer. Damon has also used this alias outside of Gorillaz on a handful of occasions. He is an incredibly prolific, respected, and busy musician, releasing and collaborating with artists from all over the world since 2000. He was once engaged to a notable figure, and Blur's album "13" is supposedly written about their breakup. Additionally, he acted in a British gangster film called "Face," alongside other actors, and voiced a character named "Bull" in a radio play called "Up Against It" by Joe Orton.
