Daniel Janin was a French vibraphonist, composer, arranger, and conductor, born in Paris in 1931. He passed away in Cap Ferret in 2010. Janin served as the conductor of the Olympia theatre orchestra in Paris for three years and wrote arrangements for the Kurt Edelhagen Orchestra. He regularly performed as a conductor on French television shows. In 1975, he began collaborating with the Swiss circus KNIE as an arranger. Additionally, he conducted Switzerland's Eurovision Song Contest entry "Vivre" by Carole Vinci in 1978. He was also a father.
