Daniel Salinas is a conductor, pianist, arranger, and producer born in São Paulo, Brazil. He was involved in the Iê-iê-iê/Jovem Guarda movement, which was influenced by the early Beatles. In the 1970s, he created orchestral, soul/jazz-tinged, and electronic renditions of international standards and Brazilian popular classics, also performing under the name Nostalgia Eletrônica Orchestra. His most recognized work is a version of "Also Sprach Zarathustra," titled "Straussmania," which draws inspiration from Eumir Deodato's global hit from the same year, 1973.
