Danny Cox (July 18, 1943 – March 7, 2025) was a folk singer and songwriter, renowned for his 1974 LP album "Feel So Good." Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he relocated to Kansas City, Kansas, in 1967. As a youth, Cox participated in a church choir alongside Rudolph Iseley, and he began his professional career in the 1960s by performing on a Hootennany Folk Tour. Throughout his career, Cox recorded albums for labels such as ABC Dunhill, Casablanca, and MGM. He also co-founded a company managed by Stan Plesser, the owner of Vanguard Coffee House in Kansas City, who managed acts like the folk rock duo Brewer & Shipley and the Southern rock band The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, as well as overseeing Cox's own career. In addition to his musical endeavors, he wrote jingles and collaborated with children's theaters.
