Danny Elfman is an American musician, songwriter, and composer, born on May 29, 1953, in Los Angeles, CA, USA. He was the lead vocalist and creative force behind the band Oingo Boingo from 1976 until its breakup in 1995. Elfman is well known for his work on motion picture soundtracks, particularly through his long-time collaborations with a movie producer/director. He has also composed several television show themes, including those for The Simpsons, Desperate Housewives, and Sledge Hammer!. In 2005, he released his first non-movie related classical work, "Serenada Schizophrana." He is married to an actress and is the brother of another individual, though specific names are not provided.
