**Danzig Bio:** Danzig is an American heavy metal band hailing from Lodi, New Jersey, formed in 1987. The band emerged from the goth punk group Samhain after vocalist Glenn Danzig was introduced to producer Rick Rubin, who was interested in working with him but not with Samhain. Glenn retained Samhain's bassist Eerie Von and guitarist John Christ, while veteran punk drummer Chuck Biscuits joined the lineup. This original formation recorded the band's first four albums. In the mid-90s, the group began to experience lineup changes, starting with Chuck Biscuits' departure, followed by John Christ and Eerie Von. During this time, Glenn also had disagreements with producer Rubin, leading to the end of their collaboration. As a result of the lineup turmoil, Glenn distanced himself from the blues-driven heavy metal sound that Danzig was known for, introducing a strong industrial influence on "Danzig 5: Blackaciddevil," which was not well-received by fans or critics. After the 1999 release of "Danzig 6:66 Satan's Child," the band returned to a more hard rock/heavy metal sound but struggled to regain the commercial and critical success of their earlier records. The current lineup includes Glenn Danzig on vocals (1987–present), Tommy Victor on guitar (with various stints from 1996 to present), Steve Zing on bass (2006–present), and Karl
