Dark Angel is a thrash metal band that originated in Downey, California, in 1981. They gained notoriety for their extremely fast and lengthy songs, characterized by numerous tempo changes and progressive song structures. The band's first song, "Welcome To The Slaughterhouse," was released just before their debut. Dark Angel disbanded in 1992 but reformed in 2002. However, health problems faced by vocalist Ron Reinhart led to another permanent disbandment. In 2005, they entered an indefinite hiatus, but they reformed again in 2013 with the "Leave Scars" line-up.
