Darnell Pittman is a soul vocalist hailing from Chicago, Illinois. He is celebrated in modern disco circles for his infectious rarity "Love Explosion," which was released in 1982. However, it was the unreleased track "Burning Up" that he introduced during The Chicago Party in April of the same year. Both "Burning Up" and its exquisite flip side "A Taste Of Honey" were recorded at Chicago's Paragon Studios and were brought back to light when a cassette master was found in the briefcase of a former manager. Both songs were written by Jesus Wayne and represent a significant moment in the history of Chicago disco.
