Darrell DeVore was born on July 11, 1939, and passed away on July 9, 2005. Throughout his life, he explored various musical landscapes, starting as a jazz pianist in his home state of Missouri. He also had a glimpse into the psychedelic music scene of San Francisco during the 1960s. In addition to his musical endeavors, DeVore was a self-described “itinerant flute-maker” and gained respect as a creator of experimental music and the instruments used to perform it.
