Dave Barker is a Jamaican deejay and singer born in 1948 in Kingston. He began his singing career in the group Two Tones alongside his friends Brenton Matthews and Fathead. After a brief period performing with others, Barker formed a duo. In 1969, he went solo under the guidance of a producer and achieved major success. In 1970, he teamed up with a keyboard player to create another duo.
