Dave Hamilton was an American producer, guitarist, and vibraphone player born in Georgia in 1925. He was raised in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away in 1994. Hamilton was the owner of several music labels and was the father of a singer. He is perhaps most famous for his work as a session musician at Motown during the 1960s, until he was phased out by Berry Gordy. In January 1963, he released an album titled "Blue Vibrations" (WSJ 206) on the Motown jazz subsidiary, Workshop Jazz.
