Dave Lee is a British DJ, producer, programmer, keyboardist, and remixer, born on June 18, 1964, on the Isle of Wight and raised in Essex. His journey into dance music began in the late 1970s when he started collecting soul and funk records. In 1986, he began working at a record store called Smithers & Leigh in London, after a recommendation from DJ Steve Goddard. Following the store's closure over a year later, he joined a distribution company as their dance music specialist, where he was responsible for setting up the Dance Division. In 1988, he founded a label owned by another entity, which became the platform for his early productions. He was best known under his alias until July 2020.
