Dave Vorhaus is an American-born electronic music pioneer with a background in physics and electronic engineering. He began his musical career as a classical bass player, collaborating with symphony orchestras. In 1968, he established the group White Noise in London alongside members of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Delia Derbyshire and Brian Hodgson. Additionally, Vorhaus is the founder of a London-based initiative and is known for inventing the Kaleidophon, an electronic instrument similar to a double bass, which he incorporates into some of his recordings.
